Based in South West London, UK and operating Worldwide, SIW Engineering & Construction (SIWEAC) Ltd provides comprehensive Engineering Services and Project Management to the Civil Engineering, Marine Construction and Energy sectors.
To enable our clients meet increasingly complex legal, financial, technical and consenting regulations, our personnel provide a full and personalised service from feasibility studies, to planning, procurement, design, contract administration, on site/offshore representation and whole cycle project/construction management.
Specialist Area
SIWEAC Ltd has extensive experience in the design and installation of pipelines and cables for onshore crossings, in shallow water and for landfalls/shore crossings. The experience gained from our previous projects allow us to provide a holistic service for the onshore and marine installation elements for a landfall/shore crossing project.
We provide a wide range independent commercial and technical services and support to end Clients, Engineering & Environmental Consultancies and Contractors on Civil Engineering and Energy Projects including the following:
- Landfall/Crossings (Open-cut & Trenchless Methods HDDs/Microtunnelling/Direct Pipe) Feasibility Studies
- Route selection studies
- Landfall or Crossing method selection support (and management of the selection process across all key disciplines)
- Support during Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design Phases
- Risk, Design & Constructability Reviews
- Project Cost Estimating and Cost Apprasials
- Development of Project Planning & Schedules
- Support with EIA/Consents/Permitting process
- Detailed Design/Engineering services including Frac-out Analysis and stress/pull-in (or push-in) calculations
- Equipment selection advice for both on and offshore
- Facilitate/manage landfall or major crossings HAZID and HAZOP workshops
- Support with associated site surveys (geophysical and geotechnical) including defination of requirements and development of documentation
- Contracting Strategy & Procurement Support incl. :
- Tender documentation preparation
- ITT/Bid review support/evaluation
- Contract administration during execution (including support with assessment/evaluation of variation claims)
- Expert Witness
- Consultants and Contractors management during all project phases
- Management of early Contractor involvement
- Act as Client team's Technical Authority or Subject Matter Expert on landfalls and trenchless construction methods
- Interface Management between various contractors for the associated on and offshore works
- EPC Contractor Management support e.g. Document Reviews for both engineering & installations
- Support/verification during equipment FAT and SAT activities
- Full package management of Trenchless Contractor during execution phase
- Site Quality Control (QC) and Supervision (on & offshore)
